Kim Perrin is our resident mechanic here at DriverSide. Kim worked as a mechanic at Pat’s Garage for three years and at a Volkswagon repair shop for one year. At Pat’s Garage in San Francisco Kim did all types repairs and servicing for many Japanese car makes and hybrids.

Kim is highly knowledgeable in auto electronic and computer systems and enjoys keeping up with the latest in hybrid and electronic auto technology, yet is also a good resource for older car models and diesel engines.

Tyler Orr

Tyler Orr is an expert in Japanese cars and has been a mechanic for eight years. He started working on cars when he was 16 and received his technical training from Wyoming Technical Institute. Tyler worked for 3 years at WORKS, where he developed his expert knowledge of automotive engineering and tuning. More recently Tyler worked for Alldata, a leading automotive repair information company, which advises repair shops across the country and is located in Elk Grove, California, just outside of Sacramento. Tyler now works independently in Sacramento, building and upgrading cars, and ultimately intends to open up his own shop.

Armen Rafaelian

Armen Rafaelian is a San Francisco based mechanic who is particularly skilled in performing aftermarket upgrades and body work on European car models such as Mercedes, BMW, and Porsche. Though he now works independently, Armen has worked at numerous shops in the bay area over the past 10 years including: Porsche Doctor, Artec Motorsports, Pit Stop Auto Repair, and Conversion Techniques. Armen worked for a year at Pit Stop doing vintage and antique restorations, and one year also doing aftermarket performance upgrades on race cars at Conversion Techniques. With this broad range of expertise he’s bound to have an answer for your repair question, however obscure.

Elizabeth Kriesten

Elizabeth Kriesten worked as an automotive technician for several years at Dodge, Lincoln-Mercury and Mercedes-Benz authorized repair facilities, as well as for several large chains and even a few backyard mechanics. She has been Master ASE Certified, and specializes in electronic diagnostics. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Electronics Technology as well as a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics, so feel free to ask her your about your puzzling electrical problems.
