Kevin T. Root, VP of Product Strategy, DriverSide
Kevin Root has worked in the automotive industry for over twenty years and has been recognized by J.D. Power and Associates as one of the original automotive eCommerce pioneers.
As an automotive eCommerce subject matter expert, Kevin has led the product strategy for major portals including MSN Autos and UsedCars.com and is accredited for bringing over a dozen successful products to market. Kevin has developed eCommerce performance improvement solutions for many of the major automotive OEMs and several leading dealer groups.
Previously, Root was the VP of Product Strategy and Marketing at Dealix, a division of Cobalt, and the VP of Products and Services in Cobalt's Applications Group. He was responsible for product management, strategy, dealer consulting and their industry-leading research initiatives.
Before Cobalt, Root worked at Microsoft as a product planner for CarPoint's Used Car Marketplace, led product strategy and the launch of Microsoft's DealerPoint lead management tool.
Kevin is a frequent keynote speaker on automotive eCommerce and dealer performance improvement at industry and OEM conferences. He has been published in Automotive News, Wards Dealer Business, the J.D. Power Online Automotive Quarterly Review, USA Today and CNN.
